PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J., Aug. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MISTRAS Group, Inc. (NYSE:MG), through its Power Generation Group, is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) to provide Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) inspection services for replacement of the Unit No. 2 steam generators at the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant (PINGP), located in Welch, Minnesota.

The original Unit No. 2 steam generators have been in service since 1974 and are scheduled to be removed from the reactor building and replaced with newer models.

The NDE Services will include, but are not limited to, Radiographic Testing (RT), Visual Inspection (VT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
